FCA journalists are invited to the Media Preview of ARTWALK Little India 2018.

Long-lost tales of Little India are resurrected through murals, public art installations and free performances for the fourth edition of ARTWALK Little India, aptly themed Urban Mythology.

Presented by LASALLE College of The Arts and Singapore Tourism Board with the support of Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association, this year’s edition sees greater collaboration with a Singapore-based line up of artists and performers to explore, narrate, celebrate and relive its stories.

Held in the cultural precinct of Little India in Singapore, ARTWALK Little India will once again feature ZERO, the visual artist behind the well-received “Working Class Hero” mural from 2017’s edition, and performing artists such as storyteller Kamini Ramachandran, co-founder of Moon Shadow Stories, to bring the stories of Little India to life.

Emerging talents such as street artist Izzad Radzali Shah and audio-visual creative duo SOBANDWINE will contribute to the aesthetic experience of the festival with their signature styles and intriguing interpretations of this year’s theme.

There will be performances and activities happening on Thursdays to Saturdays, 6pm – 9pm during both weeks of the festival (Jan 18-27), such as their first ever puppetry programme, where visitors can try their hand at making puppets inspired by the murals around the precinct, the festival favourite ARTWALK Trail.

For a copy of the programme, walk details or to RSVP, please contact selena@pinpointpr.sg by 14 January 2018, 5pm.
