FCA journalists are invited to apply to participate at the virtual Asia-Europe Foundation Editors’ Roundtable (ASEFERT10). It is an official side-event of the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit (ASEM13) hosted by Cambodia on 25 & 26 November 2021. The topic will be “Strengthening the cooperation between journalists in combating fake news”.

The two-day biennial forum is aimed at promoting dialogue, strengthening ties and cross-continental cooperation between 20-30 news editors from across Asia and Europe. As with previous editions, the ASEFERT10 will gather editors and senior journalists of major print or broadcast media in the Partner countries of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) process to exchange perspectives on current affairs, this time on fake news and misinformation.

The ASEFERT10 is organised based on the principle of public access to information. One of the main components of the ASEFERT10 programme is the editors’ coverage of the ASEM13 and interviews with selected ASEM leaders. Cambodia as the Summit host will help to facilitate the necessary administrative and related arrangements for the participants.
